B 2.5 Final presentation Nov 2016 cycle 9

Students please pick one of the following topics and tell me which one you have chosen 
before Nov 11
Each topic can only be used once, so first come first served.
Specifics of the Project:
Students need to write 200 - 300 word composition answering and or explaining the topic you have chosen.  (Please use double space)
Students need to do a 5 minute speaking presentation about their ideas expressed in their composition. 
NO copying or plagiarism from the Internet.
No visual aids are allowed for your speaking presentation.
(E.g. no posters, no photocopy handouts, no demonstrative objects, no video beam, no computers or tables)


Compositions are due on        B 2.5 ---- Dec 5 6:30 pm

TOPICS:
1. Fathers should  be given the same right as mothers to gain custody of their minor children. 

2. Every able-bodied citizen should be required to serve for a certain period of time in some branch of the military service.

3. Violence on television programs leads to violence in our society.

4. Divorce should be banned.

5. The government should do more to discourage cigarette smoking.

6. Competitions like the Miss America Pageant exploits women.

7. The longer modern day life expectancy is a curse on our society.

8. Physical disciple is a good way to control young children.

9. Colombia is too poor to control and  improve its impact on the environment.

10. Robots are causing the downfall of modern society.

11. Drinking and driving should be more severely enforced by mandatory  prison time.  

12. Cheating in University should be grounds for dismissal from school.

13.The high rate of teenage pregnancy in Colombia is a burden on our society. 

14. Working mothers are creating more unemployment in out society and should stay at home and raise children. 

16. Voting should be made mandatory for all citizens of legal age.

18. Rock music that glorifies violence against women should be banned. 

19. Capitalism is better that socialism. 

20. Assisted suicide should be banned. 

21. Social networking  sites are having a disastrous effect on modern society.

22. School uniforms make for a better learning environment.

23. Cigarettes should be banned through out the whole  world.

24. Same sex education should be banned in elementary schools.

25. It is unethical for companies to market their products to children.
